No sure if it was DE or the offensive scheme but I noticed we weren't rushing to snap the ball with 1 second left or have delay of game penalties. Anyone else take note of that last night?

I noted this against JSU. We are consistently getting to the line with 15-16 secs on the clock with Etling in there...allows time to actually scan the defense and make changes etc.

Dont know why it's so much different with Etling in there versus Harris.

it has to do with situational awareness Etling has it Harris does not.

It happened once last night and we had to take a TO. As Etling walked to the sidelines he was chewing out someone with a headset on. Presumably for not getting him the call quick enough. I liked the leadership and the demand for the people around him to be better

It's just crazy how obvious it is. A breath of fresh air for sure

I did notice at the end of the first half we could have had 2 or 3 extra playsand maybe a TD if we showed any signs of urgency, but we did not rush at all.

You can have all the talent in the world, but if you can't process information quickly and see the field in 3d, you'll fail at being a QB. I'll take less raw talent and more football IQ

Knowing the plays usually helps...with signaling of plays coming from the sideline, I think the faster the QB can decipher the signal, the faster they can get to the LOS...

No wasted time outs either like Harris was good for because he couldn't get the play called!!!!

We have those issues through 3-4 qbs but go ahead and blame one player and not the coaches

He did a pretty good job of snapping the ball near the last second of the play clock when we were trying to run clock at the end.

end of the first half

I sit in the south end zone, and you could see Les walk down the sideline almost all the way to the ref, and then gave a hurry up hand signal, instead of a TO. We wasted a good 30 seconds there when he should've just called the TO.
