Anyone else notice the American flags the Aggies wear on their jersey sleeves is backwards? Why is this? Did they get sewn on bassackwards or are they just retarded? And why would the SEC allow this?
Note: LSU wears the correct flag on their left sleeves.

They are like that on some military uniforms. Sure that has a tie to it.

quote:
The regulation states that when authorized for application to the proper uniform the American flag patch is to be worn, right or left shoulder, so that “the star field faces forward, or to the flag’s own right. When worn in this manner, the flag is facing to the observer’s right, and gives the effect of the flag flying in the breeze as the wearer moves forward. The appropriate replica for the right shoulder sleeve is identified as the ‘reverse side flag’.”

Arm doesn't matter whether right or left. Stars forward is to represent going into battle as the flag would fly away as you are moving forward.
Had this discussion with our fire dept. not long ago as some members didn't get the point and had theirs backwards

Record number of downvotes this weekend for all these shitty threads. It's like people just thought to start threads on whatever was at the top of their head.

Stars right. The way it is supposed to be diplayed.
Semper Fi.
The blue field of stars should always be in the highest position of honor. When viewing the flag on a wall, the highest position of honor is the upper left when displayed horizontally, and at the top (upper left) when displayed vertically. When displayed on a "moving object" like a person or vehicle, the highest position of honor is the front, and not the rear; so the field of blue should be displayed to the front.

Geez, I am a dumbass. I let my hatred for ATM effect my thought process. A simple google search would have answered my question.
Thank you, Goatman and Holden Caulfield, for straightening me out.

Flag forward, as if you're advancing on the battlefield. Aggies have it right.

Could be wrong but it's to indicate that when at war we are always moving forward.
