I have the comcast sports package with The Big Ten Network, The WNBA Channel, NHL Network, etc., and at many times during the day I have 3 old college football games going at the same time, with USC vs UCLA being on probably every other day.

But the new sports channel comes out, ESPNU, and I don't have it. Saw on the recruiting board you need the digital premier package. Anybody else thinks it is retarded that I am paying for the sports package, and the one channel that I need for LSU football isn't included?

Add MLB Network to the list. Hmmm, Comcast and other cable providers are part owners of the MLB Network and they REQUIRE a higher end package to get that channel. Seems on the up and up!

Congress should force these douchebags to offer channels A la Cart! Or at least an ESPN package...I could deal with that!

You think if I piss and moan over the injustice I could get for free/reduced?
I already have an extensive digital package with HBO, Stars, and the sports package.

I am ALL ABOUT renegotiating with COMCAST! I have a sweet deal through them right now because I threatened to go to Direct TV. Use Direct TV in the conversation OFTEN. It really puts you in a good place. Also, if it doesn't work at first, then transfer to the CANCELLATION department, thats where the good deals are!

You don't have to have the digital premier package. I don't and I have it. You should be getting ESPNU on channel 744. If not, you need to call and ask why.

You may need to reboot your box.

I have Digital Pkg and the sports pkg, and didnt know till a week ago, that I had ESPNU. So Collen Cowherd on the guide, and was like WHOA! so I'm excited. But Comcast is shady, and not surprised they pulled the non-digital stunt for ESPNU.

Whenever it gets to Shreveport, I'm making that change. I saw an article where it is about to start in Thibodaux. How in the world they get it in Thibodaux before the larger cities in Louisiana is beyond me.

Found this press release. They say ESPNU will be on the regular digital classic tier and now we have access to espn360.com (what I have been waiting for).

"Disney and ESPN Media Networks and Comcast Corporation today announced an agreement to add ESPNU to its Digital Classic level of service and ESPN360.com to Comcast.net. Comcast will launch ESPNU in a majority of its cable systems in time for the start of the college football season. This includes Comcast's southern systems which will enjoy coverage of ESPNU's new Saturday game-of-the-week Southeastern Conference (SEC) package."
