Bama finally not #1

LSU #13

13. LSU Tigers

Is any program in the country better than LSU at replacing a boatload of talent? After losing six more underclassmen to the NFL draft (and 17 in the past two seasons alone), Tigers coach Les Miles put together the country's No. 2 recruiting class. After losing star receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry, guard Trai Turner, tailback Jeremy Hill and defensive tackles Ego Ferguson and Anthony Johnson to the pros, LSU might need some of their incoming freshmen to contribute right away. The Tigers signed running back Leonard Fournette of New Orleans, the No. 1 prospect in the country, according to ESPN RecruitingNation, No. 1 wide receiver Malachi Dupre of River Ridge, La., and No. 3 receiver Trey Quinn of Lake Charles, La. The Tigers also signed three of the country's top defensive prospects: No. 2 safety Jamal Adams, No. 2 inside linebacker Clifton Garrett and No. 4 safety Edward Paris Jr. With that kind of talent coming to LSU, it's hard to imagine the Tigers not winning at least 10 games for the fifth consecutive season under Miles. The Tigers hired former Virginia Tech assistant Jeff Grimes as their new offensive line coach, and they'll have to find a new special teams coordinator after the New York Jets hired Thomas McGaughey.

This.
I also enjoy how they still ordain Bama as the number 2 team, even though they lose as much as LSU this year.

Seems about right for LSU. Looks like another 3 loss season.

UGA going from 5 losses to top 10 with a new QB seems like a stretch.

Bama is in the top 5 for the next decade as an automatic qualifier. They don't have to do anything, just exist.

And no Mizzou on the list. I don't know what they lost, but how do they go from a top ten finish to not being on the list.

Edit: Also, they still put Michigan on the list even after that whipping they got from K-State.

Really? We have a very favorable schedule this year. Which three games do you think we'll lose?

ETA: not saying we'll plow through it, but I doubt we lose more than two this year.

Wisconsin, back to back SEC road games to Auburn and Florida, Bama, @TAMU, and @Arky seem like tough games to me. Not a stretch to think LSU could drop 3 of them.

State and Ole Miss will be better in 2014 as well but I don't think they beat LSU in TS.

it'd be Miles' first opening game loss (out of then-ten seasons) and I'd be very surprised. That and Wisconsin is maybe the fourth best B1G team.

Auburn won't be nearly as good as last year (we beat them anyways), but I agree Jordan-Hare is a magical suck fest for us. Florida will be better, maybe, but they'll still suck.

Bama
In Tiger Stadium, I actually really like our chances this year. But you can count that as another loss if you want, it's the most likely.

@TAMU, and @Arky

ETA: so yeah I'd say prepare for two losses, because even if we make it out alive from JHS or "upset" Alabama, we're prone to dropping a head-scratcher.

I can play the opposite side on every game. Pointless. You laugh off a loss at Arky. Did you see the game in TS this year?

I think people are seriously underestimating how bad this offense might be in 2014. LSU loses all of it's production to graduation/draft.
