In the last three seasons, LSU’s 10 victories over teams that finished in the top 25 of the final BCS standings are the most nationally

LSU always has one of the hardest schedules. People can say what they want but a lot of people on the board thought it would be 9 wins or would be great with 9 wins this season. Many people even thought that we were going to lose to Ole Miss, or that it would be tougher because of it's trap game quality.

Before the season we had an Ole Miss team that took us to the wire last year, a TCU team known for defense, a UF team that won 11 games and had a tough defense, an UGA team who was loaded on offense and was thought to win the SEC East, TAMU, and Bama. Some of the negative people thought 8-4 and 7-5 were in store, while some crazies thought 11-1 (me 10-2).

We compete, but discipline is something we still lack.

So, LSU is more accomplished than any other team in the nation over the past three seasons.

It's too bad our "championships" aren't better set up to reward strength of schedule.

As long a majority of teams perform like they have been, SEC teams will always win in strength of schedule.

This is something that I hope the playoffs will fix.

I'm sorry, I don't mean to laugh AT you, but NO.

For example, take this year's scenario and put it a year ahead.

Auburn, two weeks ago, would have had to win the SECCG for the right to rematch the Mighty Gumps and their legendary midget coach.

You read that correctly.

The SECW team that, once again, rigged itself the easiest schedule among its competition but still couldn't win out, would have been rewarded based upon name alone.

The playoff won't fix anything. It will just amplify everything that is wrong with CFB.

Meh, this season LSU beat two IA teams with winning records (AU and A&M) while I believe Bama beat 4 and Auburn beat 5 including the SECCG.

Anyone who thinks more than one SEC team will be in these playoffs is out of their mind.

bullshite, if the playoffs were this year Bama would be put in. Even though Awburn rushed 300yds the media still thinks they were lucky to win.

Les Miles, during his career at LSU, is 27-18 against top-25 teams in the final BCS standings. Alabama’s Nick Saban is 19-10.

Even though Miles has 2 more seasons under his belt then Saban does since his return to the SEC. This stat is ridiculous. LSU has played 45 top 25 teams while Bama has only played 29.

Yeah, they did only have 2 wins this year against the final top 25, but they only had 4 opportunities. They went 2-2, with both losses coming on the road, one to #1 ranked Bama, and the other to Georgia in a game that was a war till the end. They can't control that Florida and TCU fell off the map and had down years.

I'm hoping the committee (or whatever is set up) will do away with this, but concerned that you are correct.

Until there is at least an 8 team playoff based on RECORDS/CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS, or something that can be measured on the field, not polls or opinions or the media machine, then we'll continue to have these problems.

The polling/voting needs to be thrown out the window.

The SEC champ gets in every year and that's it.

Agreed. I've said it here a million times:

CFB now is about winning championships OFF THE FIELD, not on it.

Why not have an 8 team playoff with conference champions only. That may leave a power conf. like the SEC at a disadvantage, but it would seem more fair in the long term.
