Yeah, I'm definitely in the "it can't get any worse" camp.

I still say there has got to be something that happened that we don't know about! Has to be! I don't know what "it" was, but here is what I think Lee was told: You can stay on the team but you will not take a meaningful snap. I think it will eventually come to the surface, too much social media this day and time for it to stay a secret.

Yes, definitely. Instead we just kept trotting out completely ineffective offenses.

Not getting anything but the knee in his final home game was worse. Still can't believe it.

Pretty stand up comments from Lee. It had to be eating him up inside and I wouldn't have blamed him if they showed a picture of him tearing up like the Bama player did when he tore up his hammy. I'm not one of the "Lee deserved better" crowd but LSU deserved better from Miles last night. Jefferson was never in the game from the start. As a head coach, Miles should have recognized that and tried something different for the sake of the team and the fans. Instead of thinking outside of the box, he went with the insanity route. Booty, Howard and now Jefferson will be QB names that no LSU fan will ever forget.

When asked if there was any point Lee thought he could go to the coaches and ask for a chance, he shot down the notion.

"If they wanted to give me an opportunity, they would have," he said. "I just tried to stay loose, tried to stay prepared on the sideline if that opportunity did come."

He should have gone to Miles and said, "Put me in coach, I'm ready to play...today."

Does les miles realize that he has made the fan base apathetic to some degree?

Apathy is not the word I would have chosen...

Agreed, I think his lack of assertiveness and "be a good teammate" mentality worked against him.

Don't get why he didn't get a shot.

Probably make little difference, but still doesn't make sense.

Yep. I try to stay away from the JJ/JL stuff because I think it's retarded, but it's beyond me to come up with a reason JL wasn't put into the game for a little while. Someone mentioned Miles remembering JL as Pick 6 and that's about the only rational thing that makes any sort of sense.

The whole this person deserves this or that argument is a fricking stupid one, but our team and fan base deserved better than what was put on the field last night. The team was as unprepared as possible and JJ looked pretty bad all game. If Lee hadn't played well while JJ was out in the first of the year, it'd be one thing, but JL had played well and I don't see why letting him get a chance to run the offense could have hurt anything.

At least he will get to show off his arm next monday night in the Casino Del Sol allstar game. He will at least have a small shot at an NFL scout maybe seeing something in him.

Lee is definitely a uniter.
JJ was a divider.

One is a team player and selfless.
One is selfish and points fingers.

For all this crap about being a character guy,
Les sure did shite the bed with the Qb situation.

Not one fan would blame Lee or Les for slinging the ball around and maybe throwing a couple interceptions in the 2nd half of that game.
You've got nothing to lose.

Instead, we didn't even try.
The only good thing to come out of this loss...
JJ's gone.

I don't have the heart to click that link. I feel so bad for JL. It's the BCSNG, it's the last game that JL will get to play as a Tiger and he never got called onto the field. Perhaps he could have lead a furious comeback or perhaps he would have been a goat. Whatever the case, he deserved the right at some point to be on the field last night to either succeed or fail on his own term.
