If that map is right then Houston might be a possibility for Saturday if the electricity stays on. How much will the water fall in three or four days I wonder?

Just make it STOP.

Have you watched the news?

Do you think all of that water will somehow be gone by Saturday and everyone will be back in their homes and all will be well, just because it isn't going to rain Saturday?

How do some of you make it through the day without a helmet?

I just looked on the snapchat map and saw some snaps of the hotel I have reserved in Houston with about a foot of water in it. Even if the water leaves, I doubt the hotel will be open.

That being said, anybody got any hotel recs near the Cotton Bowl?

My sister in law just sent me a before and after pic of her apartment complex and it's gone from water in the first floor apartments to none on the road overnight.

This would be interesting.

I had never even considered the Cotton Bowl. Previously, I said that there was "no chance" of Dallas happening because JerryWorld wasn't available.

Cotton Bowl would be cool. Anywhere would be cool, really. As long as the game can be played, ideally without rain.

They're talking about that other stadium.

I called and cancelled my hotel reservation in Houston this morning.

For Dallas hotels, any one downtown will be good and a short uber ride to Fair Park.

According to that map posted in this thread the storm is going to be centered over Central Louisiana at 8 am Wednesday. There is very little rain on the west side of the storm so IF the map is right the rain should be over for Houston then.

Relatively few people have lost electricity in Houston. The wind is blowing toward the gulf so tidal flooding is not presently an issue. The stadium has not flooded.

Just saying it could still be Houston.
