Well when you compare them to Simmons no they're not nearly as good

Well yeah
Victor is the only guy who seems to consistently bring it. But even as good as he's been for us, it's not like a he's a top 75 player in college basketball I'd say.

They are just trying to justify why Simmons isn't taking over games and scoring 30 pts/gm like they hyped him up to be.

yeah, and they trashed J. Patterson for not finishing on that pass. He was fouled, no way he could have finished it off. "in the NBA that ends a dunk and and 1."

yea victor and hornsby are good. They don't seem in sync though right now. The rest of our talent seems highly over valued. Victor has to stop his stupid fouls and jump shooting.

He did not say they weren't good. He basically said that his game is so advanced that the rest of the players can't keep up. Which is true and it's not just LSU players it's college players in general aren't advanced enough to handle what he is doing. Ben's game will translate better when he is in the pros playing with guys that can catch and shoot and the game is more spread out.

Quarterman should be the second best player on this team but he's undisciplined and lacks a great motor.

Well yeah. He's head and shoulders above everyone else on our team.
But disagree with saying the rest of the team isn't good. Victor is a good player. Very solid post player and can actually score in a half court offense while the rest of the team struggles at that. So is Hornsby. Very good shooter. TQ can be a great player when he wants to, but has rarely been like that for us this year. Been a head case this year for the most part.

Agreed on the jump shooting. The fouls are hard. He's the only true post player we have worth a damn. He's gonna rack up fouls. That's just the way it is.

Victor does get a lot of ticky tac, borderline BS fouls called on him. He uses his hands too much, but the refs let it slide for some of the game and then will call it for some of the game.
His jump shot isn't that bad. And at least he's willing to shoot it from 16ft when wide open. Wish Simmons would do that too.
