Kurte Schrute - It's comical people think O is dumb. He may look dumb or sound a bit dumb, but it takes a certain level of smarts to convince Aranda to stay, Canada to come, and Alleva to give him a 12 mil buy out. And, to convince a team that's down by 20 to a team that was supposedly going to destroy them, to keep fighting. Call it what you will, but I think he's much smarter than he gets credit for being.

I think he may be learning how to win at this level. He's also looks to be learning how to motivate his team a lot better than the first 5 weeks.

Fixed it, although I do agree with most of it.

I mean it's true. He's definitely got that savvy good ole boy Louisiana independent contractor version of "smart", or whatever you want to call that personality type, going for him. I'm really happy with the turnaround and how we played last week but let's see if his personality translates into sustained success before we start lauding him for being able to get a 12 million dollar buyout that he doesn't deserve

O may not be dumb, but none of these are good examples. His agent negotiates his contract, and Aranda and Canada have $1.8MM and $1.5MM reasons, respectively, that keep them here.

Questionable judgement is what I've accused him of having. And there's plenty of examples of it.

This is my first comment on the forums, not an O pumper just a shy person. But llxxBREADxxll said it perfectly we played with no passion the first 5 games but now we are. Can Coach O maintain that passion? That is what we will find out this Saturday.

His good friend and mentor Pete Carroll didn't immediately set the world on fire either.

Coach O has created excitement and confidence in a young LSU team which is impressive by anyone's standards. Can he maintain it, that's a legitimate question?
