LSU junior defensive tackle Ego Ferguson did not travel with the team and will not play in LSU's Outback Bowl game against Iowa Wednesday, a source close to the situation said Tuesday. The source would not disclose the reason for Ferguson's absence but said he was not suspended or missing for academic reasons.

Anyone else out for the game? It seems like they would have announced this sooner than now. How long have grades been posted?

Can this be the tipping point for us to stop allowing or celebrating underclassmen running out the tunnel on Senior Day?

I mean, its supposed to be for the players that represent the university the right way, on the field and off, and that should include completing their studies and getting their degrees.

I don't even care if they go pro, congrats and best of luck to you. Hang your number on the wall, thats fine too. But Senior Day should be for seniors.

Thomas / LaCouture...time to step up. Has M. Bain played this year? I wouldn't burn a shirt in a meaningless game if not.
