I think it looks pretty solid. I really couldn't say I disagree with anything other than QB & PR. I'll be very surprised if Harris doesn't get the start over Jennings, game 1... and if Donte Jackson is as legitimate as touted, I'd like to see him take PR over White. Frankly, I don't think White is at his best returning punts.

I also hope we see Garrett get some meaningful time in the rotation. I see him becoming a very reliable linebacker before his LSU days are up.

Obligatory props to the basketball team for the big redemption win tonight.

Averaged more yards per punt than OBJ did in 2013. He could get better at when to catch and when to let it go, but i think he can improve on that.

I actually think that is pretty spot on. Only thing would be if we do see voorhies at lb.

I knew someone would get back at me quick on this.

My rationale: I think he's a decent PR, but an elite coverage CB. I'd hate to risk him at PR if we have other options that might be better to begin with.

the only thing that makes me think jackson will get his shot. Les miles said he learned his lesson with PP. Meaning he didnt give him a shot early enough in the return game and on offense. But that would also squash your theory of letting an important player return kicks. Just like we let LF, PP, Claiborne, and beckham in recent years.

I'd be surprised if Jennings doesn't start. Cam and Les just want a guy that will go 16-20 with a couple TDs and manages the game so defense, run game and ST can do their thing. Jennings starts completing those 4-5 extra passes a game and not turning the ball over and he'll be the starter.

Agreed with everything you said in this thread so far dgnx

And I think Dandy Don did a pretty good job with that depth chart. Dont really disagree with any of it right now, except maybe QB but thats a toss up and will be questioned by everyone regardless who you put as the starter.

I can't muster up the courage to start a "Jennings isn't capable" tangent here.. but Jennings isn't capable.

Harris has the stuff.

There's your first problem - AJ couldn't complete 16-20 screen passes.

On paper they look solid all the way through. Hopefully Steele is better than advertised.

Note: This unofficial depth chart is a work-in-progrss and only represents my best guess. 1) All 2015 signees listed are added at the bottom of their respective positions in italics. 2) Not all players are listed.

Yeah but at the same time it's hard to play a freshman there over Trindon Holliday and Chad Jones. Both were beasts and Holliday has more than proved his worth as a return specialist.

Truth is we've had an embarrassment of riches going from Holliday to Peterson, Mathieu, Beckham, and White. Even Jarvis Landry had over a 1000 return yards for the Dolphins and he only took 3 PR in his time at LSU.

Even right now we have at least 5 guys that have big potential at PR/KR. White, Adams, Dural, Jackson, Chark, etc...

If AJ is the starter...the season is already over before it begins. (sorry...but it's true)

Other than QB, the list looks pretty good. Also...Even though LF returned a kick for a TD, I REALLY don't want to see him in that role.
