I bought one yesterday and liked it. It allows you to listen to the game in real time, or you can listen to the am/fm stations.

I listened to the 98.1 broadcast in the stadium and it was almost in real time, only about a 1/2 second off.

I do this too, and mine wasn't even a 1/2 second off. The only reason I'd buy one of those radios would be to listen to the broadcast on road trips.

road trips.

I had stated earlier that usually the road trips had a lower power rebroadcast straight from the booth. Prior to this year, I've been listening to that on a regular radio, but they seemed to have stopped. Neither UNC or Vandy had a signal anywhere on the FM band of a regular radio, and I had to resort to the local station.

Our road trips last year had both the $20 radio and the regular signal, but they must have stopped it now. Maybe the money won out. I was hoping that if no one bought the $20 radios, they'd continue the regular signal, but doesnt seem so.

I went to Ole Miss last year, and I knew about the broadcast on a low or high frequency from the past games I went to; so I emailed LSU before I left, and they told me they no longer do this. If you want to hear the LSU broadcast on the road, you have to have one of these radios.
