Seeing if Les Miles is gone, how many of the players do you think declare for the draft? I know a good bit of the players love Les and I can't say they'd want to stick around with a first year head coach after all this. I feel like most of you will down vote this and give sarcastic answers but I'm genuinely curious who you think goes if Miles is gone.

If he stays 15 that hate playing for him will leave, if he leaves 15 that love him will go. Net-Net kind of thing...

If it goes down like it seems to be, I think it rocks the program pretty hard. Most every player that could leave early probably will, (guys like Dural, Beckwith, etc), and I wouldn't be surprised to see a few big names transfer. I think our recruiting class gets slashed too.

That's honestly how I feel. They came here to play for him and if he leaves then I feel like they'll all bounce ship. The way they manage this is going to make all the difference. If miles retires and goes out peacefully then I think it will have less of an impact but if we fire him then it may get ugly.

What juniors on this year's team are going to look favorable for a high draft position coming out of the season? Not a single one has had a breakout year. Beckwith probably looked the best until mid-season, but he has fallen off the planet. White had been abused by the best WRs he's faced. Dural has had issues with drops and has been passed up by Dupre. Hawkins? He and Alexander both have been pushed all over the field the last three weeks.

Pocic probably could go, but he should stay another year and either go back to guard or move to tackle. He is not a center.

Isn't White a senior?

Dural is, I remember talk last year about him coming back for his senior year.

I agree with Hawkins and Alexander but I think they're both seniors too? I could be wrong there.

I think most of the LBs are seniors though.

It seems like this type of question is inevitable when a head coaching change is likely.

It is difficult to tell, but we hope that a player like White or Dural who has not had the kind of year they expected to have will get some good advice and make the right choice for his future.

Seems like most have expected Beckwith to declare for the NFL draft anyway and I would expect he'll do that.

Defense would worry me, some guys may not want to have a 3rd DC in as many years, and a new hc.

Many players have left early for the NFL in past years. In truth, this has robbed Miles/LSU of veteran players on both sides of the ball. This happens because Les is a top recruiter. So, in reality, he and team never get the benefit of a talent laded and veteran senior team.

Les' recruiting actually hurts him. After 3 years they leave, leaving only a less veteran group to play.

Travin will not be coming back

Guranteed and he has talked about it in person for the last couple of weeks, to multiple people around campus.

This. Because of these dynamics (and because we don't have the same number of elite underclassmen as in 2011) I think it would not have that big of an impact.

Based on the way they've played, they should all return.

That said, I fully expect every draft eligible junior to bolt. Regardless of what happens with Miles.

This. I don't think it makes much of a difference. They will make their decision based upon draft grades and what their agent tells them to do.

What kills LSU is not the top playets leaving early - its the ones who dont even get drafted or get drafted low. Or simply not ready for the NFL.

This kills our depth.

If someone has extra time on their hands, I like to see how our early leavers compare to say Bama, who has a similar number of NFL players. Do they lose average players or just draft ready ones?

Is the NFL developing these secret jewels that LSU couldnt?
