Does having a double digit win season define success? Seems like I've heard it used as a landmark over the past couple years.

I thought the first goal was SEC West, second SEC overall, third national championship?

It's a moral victory.

National Championship is the only thing acceptable on this board.

First goal should always be national championship.

If you aint first you're last.

Of course. Doesn't mean there's anything wrong with being happy about 10 wins. Being happy about getting 10 wins =/= accepting mediocrity, or however some want to spin it.

I will not look back on 2013 as a failure or success; to me it's just another filler year between national championships (i hope).

Sorry misread the OP initially. Yes, IMO double digit wins is an indicator of success.

It defines program consistency. Of course the main goal is winning titles, but falling short of that doesn't make the season or prgoram a failure.

double digit wins just means you had a good year

but according to this board, averaging double digit wins equals mediocrity

I agree with the consistency component. But how many double digit win years without a championship defines mediocrity? Or does it? Is it OK to be consistently better than most?

Fair enough. That's your choice. I'll look back on it as a year with a 3000 yard passing QB, 1000 yard rusher and two 1000 yard receivers. Pretty fun IMO.

10+ wins every year will never be mediocre.

I totally agree that minus Ole Miss and Bama, this was a very fun season to watch.

Give us a list of programs that have achieved this over the last 4 or 5 years and you will learn what success really is.

That's success.
