Do we see more nickel, dime play and blitzes from him vs Bama?
Do you think he takes pr duties from white?
Think we have some offensive packages for him vs Bama?

I'll say it. I had honey badger flash backs.

Me too. The way he jumped and swatted that ball out of his hands was very badger like. Not necessarily the play but just the way he did.

No doubt...great play negated by a DB holding that had nothing to do with the results of the play.

I would love to see him in a safety spot. Hover around the field and get to plays in an instant. A safety blitz from him would be NASTY haha

I said I thought his role would expand greatly with this opportunity. He has really looked good all year. He will be a shutdown corner when we lose white after this year too.

Was just thinking after his strip and scoop last night. Although he's a freshman and still slight in stature, when you have that speed, do we just tell him to go do that one thing? Particularly in obvious passing downs? Kinda like pass rush specialists or how we used Matheiu and crept him up to the line

I always thought he'd play nickel like Mathieu did. Him coming on a delayed CB blitz would be money.

I was impressed with his punt fielding last night. Very sure. No bobbles. Nice return negated by block in the back. Think white resumes that role ?

I think Jackson will be the guy against bama to return punts. If White is healthy, let him focus on his cb responsibility.

With the coverage issues we've had and the way he played last night, I don't see how they can keep him off the field. His athleticism is a weapon.

He reminds me of DeAndre Yedlin on the USMNT in "football." He was probably too young an inexperienced to just show up and play in a World Cup, but despite his lack of polish, he has something you can't teach- speed with the ball. And the confidence to stick his nose and make something happen.

Jackson looked that way to me last night. He isn't as ready and polished at Toliver, but he's a guy who the offense (or occasionally, the defense) HAS to account for because of his raw speed. I look for the staff to prep him hard on some things over the bye week so he can play a bigger role.

He will start corner next year opposite of Toliver.

He just needs a little more seasoning and he can end up being something very special. He needs to get his opportunities. He is just too fast and athletic not to see meaningful action.

In last year's class, I would have classified Jackson and Toliver as both top 3 in man to man coverage skills. Jackson is nasty good. I would have called Iman Marshall the top guy.

Still needs to fill out some. Blitzing Qb and covering speedy wideouts from slot and punt returns is what his role should be this year. I worry a little bit about him getting hurt if he gets leveled by a ST's LB or S but he just needs to fair catch if traffic close don't take chances unless he can get goin avoiding hits if possible.

Nice comparison

I see him in nickel coverage...able to cover quick/shifty receivers in the slot and fast and physical to send on corner blitz

He's a giant compared to Trindon. He should be ok. Next year I think Xavier Lewis and Saivion will be slot guys and Jackson, Toliver, Paris are the top corners with Fulton and a few other guys in the mix. Adams, Jefferson, and Battle will all return and Voorhies will probably start LB with Alexander and Riley.

Ever watch him in coverage....not too good from what I have seen. Especially the short crossing stuff. He let's the receivers separate from him expecting to make up the difference with speed. But with better QBs, they pass into that separation. He makes the tackle but after a nice gain. Good CBs, especially really fast ones like Donte, follow the receiver around like a shadow (zero cushion) because they know the receivers can't run away from them. That's where the shutdown part comes from. Once he learns that, he will be difficult to pass against. Him and Tolliver will make an awesome tandem for the next two years !!
