Yeah. That's how I do it. I get in front of every camera I see and proclaim my innocence.

Why did they want to question Collins the week of the draft?

A woman and her child were killed. They are no more and aren't afforded a chance to do anything anymore on this earth.

A man wants to play football to earn a living. He will still get that opportunity. Even if he didn't, he can choose to do something to earn a paycheck other than football.

A murderer is still on the loose. Time lines should not matter to the police as they have an obligation to the woman that passed away, her family and the general public to find her killer.

One is really important and the other is not. It's not that hard to understand.

BRPD did not leak the story. LC's agent was contacted and teams were made aware of the issue in an effort to stay out in front. LC had scheduled engagements in Chicago and his agent made teams aware of why he may not be able to be in attendance. ESPN got the info from a team and it took off from there.

Put yourselves in the shoes of the victim's family. Will Cover is right, there is a killer on the loose. Possibly still a threat to more people.

Sure, let's just sit on all this until Collins gives us the OK.

Murder case is leaps and bounds ahead of the draft in overall importance.

The audacity of the BRPD to want to question LC on the week of the draft...especially after his ex girlfriend is brutally murdered execution style and possibly his unborn child dies as a result. Boy those donut eaters have SO much nerve to do such a thing.

This shouldn't be the question you should be asking.

The question that should be asked is "If Collins was never considered a suspect, why release info to the media that they wanted to question him?"

I'm sure Collins was never running from the police and they didn't have to release that info in an attempt to find him. If they just wanted to talk to him, which I'm sure they interviewed everyone that was close to the young lady who was mudered, the police could've kept all of this in-house until something concrete developed regarding Collins.

IMO, BRPD should've never came out and pubicly say they wanted to question Collins. Did any of you hear them publicly say they wanted to question any other person pertaining to this case? From the day we learned of this murder, Collins is the only name that's been talked about by BRPD. Like I previously said, if he never was a suspect, BRPD should've kept everything in-house and questioned him and only release his name if something developed.

True. Why would they want to question someone in a murder investigation as soon as possible?

Seems the BRPD jumped to the conclusion he was their suspect but have no evidence to support that assumption.

Well questioning someone in an investigation trumps the NFL draft.

Why didn't they tell him to come in after the draft? That's what they did anyhow. How many murder investigations do they publicly say he is wanted for questioning but is not a suspect?

and put this behind him

There was going to be no "put this behind him" after the story broke. The timing ate him up. He has been in BR since Fri., was questioned Mon., and this is Tuesday. There is still nothing from the BRPD other than what was there when the story come out..."he is not a suspect".

I don't think him being questioned the Sat. you mentioned would have made any difference at all with the NFL. He was done when the story broke that the BRPD wanted to question him.

It's easy for all us to say what we would have done or what he should have done, but none of us had 10 mil. riding on this.

Someone that looks like had nothing to do with the crime was vital to their investigation?

"looks like had nothing to do wit the crime" compared to who? It seems like, in all these discussions, everybody is assuming that the cops know exactly who did this and they're just sitting around with their thumbs up their asses waiting to actually do something about it.

It seems like half this board thinks the police KNOW that Collins did it, and so clearly he's guilty and cops are just biding time from some reason before they arrest him. Then the other half is like you and thinks that the police must KNOW that Collins is not guilty, and they only wanted to even talk to him because they hate LSU or something.

Has it even occurred to you that maybe the police have no fricking idea who did it? Maybe they have no leads at all and so they did what cops literally always do in situations like this and question the victims ex?
