Had a great time at that game. That TM7 strip on the PR was awesome.

That play is what helped me get my head around the difference between a muffed punt and a strip.

Oregon was not ready for the speed of LSU on defense and special teams.

Mingo running down that Oregon back behind the line of scrimmage caused a lot of jaws to drop.

Yeah it raised eyebrows when a 6'6 DE caught from behind a 4.4 running back. Overall just a dominant game.

And "that Oregon back" was not some lumbering heavyweight power back. He was a quick as lightning scat-back.

This video took me through a rabit hole of Highlights from that season. Had to be one of the most talented teams ever. Sucks that 1 out of 22 positions was the achilles heel.

I remember arguing with an Oregon fan friend of mine that TM7 took that ball instead of it being a simple error / ball not bounching the right way for them.

I just kept expecting them to call the TD back because you can't advance a muffed punt. But duh, it was a strip.

Minus almost all of TM7's highlights, probably the most impressive defensive play I can remember in recent memory.

All we kept hearing about was Oregons speed. They got introduced to LSU speed real quick.

It's been a while since I've seen highlights, but this was pretty much a close game until late, correct?

Only in all things outside of football does the muff come after a strip.

It was close earl on, but only because of coaching and QB play. But Oregon was clearly out matched at a talent standpoint, including overall team speed.
