Does the radio silence about Mett's knee mean it's not good news?

Not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but I would think that if the MRI was good news (and it surely would have happened by this point), we'd know about it.

Strangely quiet thats for sure.

probably should comb twitter-ville, maybe some info out there. Les probably won't meet with the press for another week or two.

Probably keeping quiet until the bowl announcement

The fact that Les is mum on Mettenberger's injury makes me fear the worst.

Isn't that Glenn Guilbeau's twitter name?

This is Miles playing it smart and not revealing any details to make our Bowl opponent prepare for both QBs.

pretty sure that his knee injury is significant
Just from observation and word on the street

You should have included this tweet

It didn't help that the sorority girls next to us at dinner were all talking about him tearing his ACL. Reliable source, I know.

I definitely looked bad enough to be a tear, but don't read into Miles' silence. He never releases info because it doesn't help anything but fan egos and the other team's preparation.

I understand LSU's view on this but knowing that Mett is gone after this year I would be more inclined to make the bowl trip just to see the future for next year.

Honestly would love to see AJ start. Better for him, and better for LSU in 2014.
LSU doesn't owe Mett anything more than they've already given him, especially in an exhibition game. Also, say you're Mett. Do you really want to risk injury and effing your NFL career before it is started for a possible victory over Duke?

That'll show them. Not only do we have a running back stable, but our QB depth is unmatched.
frick it. Start Rickey Jefferson at QB.

I don't think we'll see mett on the field again as a player.
Sprained MCL. About a month to 6 weeks recovery time.

HTV Saints on the Bayou tonight at 8pm will offer a tidbit

Anybody with eyes during the game could see it was a bad injury. It doesn't take Les to tell us that. I'd be shocked if he played in the bowl. He had to tear something the way they fell on his leg...
