Does the name Stephen van Buren mean anything

I was looking at a NFL 100 all time great book and found a Stephen Van Buren. Is hebadmired, remembered, respected on this board. He used to play for the LSU.

He was in the nfl's 75th anniversary all time team along with Walter Payton, OJ Simpson, and Gale Sayers.

Only became a running back his senior year. He was a blocking back the previous years. He set school records that stood until the 70s. He was a 1st round draft pick by the Eagles and was a 4 time NFL rushing champions in his 7 year career. Retired with a number if NFL records. Great tiger, but he's known for his NFL career.

Absolutely....there was a big NFL function a few years back that he went to, and people like Jim Brown wanted to spend time with him...
he was a legendary LSU and NFL running back...

Well, he was one of the best players ever to don the purple and gold, as well as a member of the pro football Hall of Fame. Other than that ...
