I feel as though he excelled when he was starting at guard.

I see the best starting lineup looking something like this.

LT - Malone (He improved a lot as the season went on)
LG - Clapp (Solid)
C - Andy Dodd (Don't know much about him)
RG - Teuhema
RT - Weathersby

I can also see Brumfield and D. Campbell pushing for playing time in the guard spots and True Freshman Deculus looks college ready at OT. Our lines on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball actually have very good depth. Refreshing!

If I have to see Teheuma struggle out at OT again I might vomit. Dude is very good inside, I hope they stop trying to play him outside, I think it will be:

LT - Malone (Really dont think we have anyone else)
LG - Teheuma (Back to original spot)
C - Will Clapp (Dodd I just dont think is very good, Clapp needs to take over here)
RG - Brumfield vs. Campbell (Best OL battle this upcoming offseason IMO)
RT - Weathersby (It's his job, period)

I definitely agree. He played much better at guard. Another possibility for playing time is willie allen

I like that lineup as well, Clapp actually played a little bit of center for us didn't he?

I think Decalus will see the field before Willie Allen, JMO.

LT: Malone
LG: Teuhema
C: Clapp
RG: Brumfield v. Campbell
RT: Weathersby

As others have said, I agree this is our best lineup right now. It allows us to put our best 5 on the field at once.

Is Decalus a future LT? I really thing this is the biggest missing piece. If we find a LT we should be really good. Hopefully Malone will improve more but I don't think he's unreal either.

I definitely agree Deculus will see the field before Allen. Allen could see some playing time arse well. Deculus being an early enrollee could win a starting spot.

Austin Deculus is the real deal. 6'6 310 and has legit strength. He will definitely push for some early playing time from day 1 and I can see this guy developing into an absolute stud LT.

I think Deculus' future is at LT, but he needs a year of development there. He's probably not one of those Cam Robinson types to come in and start day 1.

Brumfield should be starting next year. Clapp needs to be playing center when SEC play starts. Dodd will get rocked

No Way Malone starts at LT (Dude got his A$$ handed to him all year) I expect Deculus to move right into one of those spots also Brumfield and Allen will be somewhere as well.

LT-Deculus
LG-Clapp/Brumfield/Campbell
C- Dodd
RG-Teuhema
RT-Weathersby/Allen

Only real locks are gonna be Deculus & Teuhema.....rest will all fight for other 3 jobs

I think this is the 'going-in' lineup for Spring practices, and we'll have to see how it unfolds. With this group you definitely have experience, but collectively that ALL need to get stronger.

I can certainly understand 'losing' to an opponent on an individual play or series, but NOT an entire game. This group must be talented and strong enough to do their job vs any opponent, and give our OFF a chance. The OC and OL coach need to be able to flex, and find a way to gain matchups that give our OFF a chance to be successful. After that it is up to the QB and skilled pos players to make plays.

Clapp was exposed at times at G this year. Expect him to move to C where his measureables fit more.

Disagree on the comparison of Deculus and Cam Robinson - Deculus is much more pbysical than Cam at 18 yrs old and although Cam has been an excellent LT with some deserving accolades, he's also benefitted from being surrounded by very good senior OL support to help him develop into a good LT - that and QBs with good scramble ability. I'm going to make a bold prediction that Deculus leaves LSU with as much or more legit hype as Cam, especially if our new OC develops an offense that allows the OL to flourish.

Coaches and fans keep talking about Clapp playing Center, but the fact is, he just hasn't played that many snaps there. The first guy off the bench when Pocic was out, or in the situations where Grimes experimented with moving him to Tackle, Dodd came in as 2nd String. I'm all for seeing those two battle it out for the role, but the fact is, some guys just aren't as good snapping the ball.

Deculus may not start unless we have injuries, but I would put money on him being the first Tackle off the bench next season.

Can Brumfield play center?

I definitely think he will be one of our best 5.

Clapp exposed at guard? Wow the stupidity of this board never ceases to amaze me. Clapp was voted 1st team all SEC Coaches poll and has not given up a sack in 2 years as a starter but he is a weak link!! Every single big run from LF7 or Guice had Clapp leading the way. Believe he should move to center giving us best 5. The Einstein above thinks Deculus is a lock and Clapp will have to battle for his spot. Freakin wow!

Those who feel a true freshman will start at LT again have zero clue. Like it or not KJ will start at LT and with yr/yr improvement will be more successful in '17 than '16

I concur with you, I don't recall clapp ever getting "exposed" at guard, and Malone didn't do to bad at LT and will definitely improve.
