or does not make a difference at all?

Saban can now say his legacy won't be matched anytime soon.

Why no. He has his sights on crushing the Bear.

He wants three more national championships at Bama to surpass the Bear. It's all about legacy with Saban now.

Don't know what Saban retiring has to do with Les.

Saban wasn't worried about Les. I'm sure he used the same game plan against him the last 5 years.

Saban couldn't give a wet fart about what LSU did with Les Miles outside of Jimmy Sexton using the possibility of LSU wanting him back to try & squeeze another $1M out of the Bama boosters.

I have never seen so many people obsessed with another team's coach. Who cares about Saban.

Saban sounded like he had an awful time trying to give Les his respect. I respect Les in respect to him in what he has done at LSU.

What other kind of respect he is thinking of not giving Les?

Yes. He is so tired from all that winning that he needs a rest. I do not expect him to finish the season now that he has no need to game plan for 8-9 in the box.

In Saban's mind he is saying "I handed you a Ferrari and you took care of it like a Ford Pinto. But at least you never drove it over a cliff". That's about the best Saban can do.

On second thought, I think Saban is forced out at the end of the year just so Bama can zero in on LSU's top candidates & outbid us for them. It's the ultimate "frick you" from Tuscaloosa.

I think he could say that after his 4th national championship in like 7 years
