Does Rivers see the field this season?

Your thoughts on SR17 chances of seeing PT this season. Unless Rettig or Jennings really show out, he will be our guy next season.

You mean in 2014?

I think the chances of Rivers starting for LSU in 2014 are very very slim.

I seriously think Jennings will be our #2 guy this year

Yes, 2014, my bad. I also believe that Jennings will end up being the guy when all is said and done. If so, will Les play Rettig or Jennings this season?

This is going to depend on whether or not one of them can jump Rivers on the depth chart this season. I think one of them will probably jump him. I would think the number 2 will see some time...specially with CC.

I really like Jennings. Kid has good mechanics and he has enough speed to make plays. He reminds me of Tahj Boyd actually. I think he will be the next Tiger great JMO.

I like your opinion.

It's very early to make this comment. But, he reminds me of Russell Wilson with some of his tendencies.

Unless Mett gets hurt, why would we burn his redshirt next year? Doesn't make sense.

Uh yes. He is the backup.
Thanks, I guess you know something about the abilities of Rettig and Johnson that no one else knows.

Rivers should transfer

Because he might be better than Rivers? How the hell does that not make sense?

It does make sense, if he's better he could be #2. But, I don't see #2 playing that much unless Mett gets hurt. So is it worth burning a redshirt for garbage time, even if either frosh is better than Rivers?

Spring ball will tell the tale. I just feel like Jennings will make a push. I think he has an even better chance because Miles likes the whole DT thing, which I can't blame him. Yes there are great PP QB's still but the game seems to be evolving toward the Johnny Football, RGIII, Russel Wilson type of QB. The best part is I think our guy is gonna be that type of player! After seeing all the GREAT young talent we reeled in yesterday, the future is very bright for this program for many years to come.

Why? Miles has stated hes got a better handle on offense than Mett

maybe. i would certainly love for both rettig and jennings to redshirt. use rivers as #2 and bolden as #3 (is he still on the team??)
then you bring in guys for 14 in rettig and jennings as RS freshmen who have a season and 2 springs under their belts.
