I started thinking this was a possibility last year. Originally, I had always just assumed he was an idiot. But it seems like anytime LSU really has time to prepare, they come VERY prepared. I realize that's a small sample size, but it's still real (Peach Bowls, National Title game, etc.)

So at the very least, he doesn't seem terrible at marshaling his staff to achieve competent outcomes when he was weeks upon weeks to prepare.

So maybe he really just does suffer some type of panic attack or something in the heat of the moment that makes him turrible on game day.

What I saw was not panic.

It was sheer confusion ... like when you show an Iraqi a bar of soap.

how can you and others think that miles is an idiot. granted he's made plenty of mistakes as a coach, but calling him a idiot is a little extreme.

Miles during the two minute drill seems to be like Cindy Brady during the TV Quiz Show.

I really thought he had a stroke during the 09 Ole Miss Game after I saw the incoherent postgame interview. You may be right, though. Or he has some sort of psychosis where he avoids/ignores extreme situations. Case in point, him asking for some water at the end of the Ten game like he didn't have a care in the world.

I suspect a psychoanalyst would have a field day with Les.

He suffers from stubborness, lack of drive, incompetence, and a low IQ.

I think it's highly unlikely his IQ is above 100, which, to be fair is 10 points higher than official "idiot".

Those guys are under extreme pressure with thousands of eyes watching their every move.

My father had a minor stroke under pressure and his actions weren't all that dissimilar than Les'. I saw a man that had "been there" hundreds of times that flat out dropped the ball. No joking.

I think his "drive" is just fine. He is just dumb.

What I see is a stuborn man who just cant put sentences togather. Who has a want for things and dont know how to get them. A coach who won a national title because of another mans coaching ability (polini ) who is afraid of getting a good oc because they might find out he has no coaching skills. A man that pushes the blame on others..... and on and on
