I just remember seeing that one interview and hadn't really paid any attention to any Arkansas related interviews...just wondering if someone set him straight.

The alternate pronunciation is particularly popular in the state of Kansas - esp. when they are talking about the river. KC.

I think he was confused by what people from Arkansas are called. They refer to themselves as Ar-Kansans.

I don't think he was confused at all, it is a proper 'alternate' pronunciation. (see link above)

As usual the idiots that hate on Les Miles ridicule him when it is they who are deserving of ridicule.

Same here ipodking. I've even gotten fans of other schools to start pronouncing it that way. It drives the Hogs fans nuts. I write it as arKansas. Thanks to Coach for this gem!

He deserves it, he called them ar-kansas, then the next year went back to arkansas and has used that pronunciation since, and ya'll will hear it again next week.

I think it's great. I've said it that was ever since he first said Ar-Kansas. Love it.

Wow. So a loss in triple overtime is now an arse kicking? Hate to see if we had lost by a few touchdowns.

If I recall, Darren McFadden, Felix Jones, and Peyton Hillis taught him how to pronounce it correctly.
