They should put Mike on midfield to honor him. Maybe not his whole body, just an eye or something. Would be a nice gesture.

Agreed. I'm not trying to be insensitive to the subject, but he's an animal after all. Myself including many others have lost dear friends and family to cancer, and I can assure you they are way more important than a mascot. Mike is part of the community so certainly something to honor him would be okay, but a sticker or logo on the field seems a little bit overboard.
