I think it'll be tough.

You think they drop after winning a series on the road?

Cute.

What did all the other teams near the top do?

LSU might not be a unanimous #1, but they'll be the majority #1.

We won the series.

There's no reason we'd drop.

(D-1 Baseball rankings used)
#1 LSU 2-1 at Miss. State
#2 UCLA 2-1 vs Gonzaga
#3 Louisville is 1-1 at Clemson. (Weird Sat-Sun-Mon series)
#4 A&M 3-0 at Tennessee
#5 TCU 3-0 at West Virginia
#6 ASU 1-2 at Cal
#7 UCSB 3-0 vs UC Davis
#8 Illinois 3-0 at #25 Ohio State

No way anybody jumps us. We still have the tie breaker against A&M. The only team that will probably move up is Illinois.

Guess I could have just posted the "How the Top 25 Fared link"

I would love to hear your reasons why we would/could/should drop...

It would be a Fitt move to drop LSU for almost losing a series.

@DellengerAdv: @LSUbaseball expected to drop out of Top 25 after only winning 2 of 3 at MS State.

yeah, probably be unranked after this past weekend. weak showing against a weak team. No shot at a top 8 now.

Well you can't expect to stay in the top 25 after barely winning the first game and giving away the third. Maybe not being ranked will motivate this team to finish teams off when they have the chance.

Lol. We're #1 and may be unanimously again this week, and a half game back for the SEC lead, with a Top 8 seed highly likely. I think we're ok.

i mean, we walk so many batters i think missouri is leaving their bats at home. we can't hit worth a shite. we have no ace pitcher. i don't even know if we field a team at all this weekend.

so, i expect no higher than #100 in the rankings
