Alot has to happen in a short time. Qb issue must be solved. Offensive philosophy must change. Will Brennan be in Br or somewhere else?

Think, tn - fulmer, tx - brown, lsu -Dietzel, we will see playoff in anywhere from 12 - 50 years.

you can thank the anti- miles crowd for this next period of no respect. (not trying to argue)

just enjoy the fact that you lived thru the GOLDEN AGE of LSU FOOTBALL, 2001-2015, saban and miles.

Lets break it down.

Offense--QB will be at least slightly better, RB about the same maybe down a big play with LF gone. OL about the same. WR will be improved in my opinion if Chark stays. TE probably down some.
Scheme--this is where we should have the most improvement.

Defense--DB's could be same but probably slight drop. LB biggest area of concern. DE should be ok.
DT should slightly improve.
Scheme--slightly better due to system in place.

Special Teams--can't be any worse.

Overall--I think we give up a few more points on defense but the offense slightly improves depending on OL play.

So a very small chance.

IMO It's realistic. Just unlikely. It's the leadership that we're losing that will hurt us.

The team will be stacked, but a few of the younger guys will have to step up and be leaders for this team to even approach that. Should be a 9-3 type year if the SEC is as weak as it was this season. '18 & '19 we should be contending.

O had nothing to do with scheme. He was a position coach.

Comes down to beating Bama and winning the west. So there is a chance. Probably a 30% chance which is strong.

Win our division!

We won't have a shot at the playoff until we get better and deeper on both lines.
It's been pointed out that Miles rarely landed big time offensive tackles and we missed or didn't develop some defensive linemen.
I'm not sure that Miles had a detailed recruitment philosophy or plan. Hopefully O will correct that.

LSU fans are becoming as delusional as NC State fans.

Yes, a bunch of key pieces on Offense return. Defense will be younger but coached by Aranda and filled with talent.

That is my assessment too. OFF returns quite a bit, hopefully both Dupre and Chalk. OL 3-4 starters, and of course DE and Guice. Not bad at all IMO.

DEF different story. DL and DB's should be good, but very young....mostly SO/JRs... LBs are a question mark

Define realistic... We lose a lot of talent. And we don't know who will be running our offense. The SEC I assume will be weak again, so I guess it's not out of the realm of possibility but I wouldn't say it's any more likely than that.
