Does LSU get really aggressive on the bases Friday?

OSU will most likely throw a RHP whether that be Thompson or Rasmussen. We all know that runs are going to be at a premium. I really look for LSU to put intense pressure on the base paths, more than usual. If Robertson, Freeman, Duplantis, Watson, and even Deichmann to be looking to steal early and often.

I remember correctly, their catcher had our number in the last game. I don't see us running a lot

We were super aggressive in our first game with them. How'd that work out?

hit and run puts our hitters at a disadvantage against these pitchers. These pitchers are swing and miss guys and gets our hitters down in the count early. We have the speed to outright swipe bags. Id rather see duplantis looking for a hit with freeman on second base to score a run rather than moving him 1st to third

I don't think you win a game by becoming more like your adversary or overreacting to one game. You win by executing your game plan. Our plan should continue to be that we don't take lazy ABs. Make the pitcher work, get in plus counts when possible, and punish mistakes. Be aggressive on the base paths when the ball is in play.

Isn't OSU's catcher solid as shite? With 2 out I can see us taking some shots, but I don't know about testing that guy too often and potentially losing runners and killing innings.

I think we see more passes on first down and a lot of fast breaks on the bases once the puck drops.

Agreed. They've lost 4 games. I'm sure if you could expose their catcher it would have cost them more than 4 games. It's not like they have Matt Heath back there.

And its not like most teams have our speed. Also, I wasn't able to look up OSU's catcher's caught stealing % because their stats are shite on their website

The only reason OSU scored 13 runs last game was the 11 walks gifted to them (most after Walker and Gilbert left).

Any CWS team (including LSU) could easily score 13 runs when being given 11 free passes. So don't put OSU on such a high pedestal quite yet!
