He is currently the 7th highest paid coach in nation and 3rd highest in SEC.
Saban obviously got a raise but brett Beilma makes 5.1million and Butch Jones 4.9million compared to Les at 4.4million (Stoops/Meyer also ahead)

But should Les be second highest paid coach in SEC with his run of success?

No.

Let other schools such as Arkansas and Tennessee overpay their coaches. Miles should bring home more hardware if he wants a raise.

No. What Les needs to do is win a bowl game.

I don't know the specifics, but that isn't his salary at arky. That overall number has something to do with money owed to him from Wisconsin and is figured into his salary, or something to that effect.

As far as Miles needing a raise....shite no. Just because he recruits elite, doesn't equate him to being elite. He is rewarded handsomely for his recruiting and coaching abilities.

Give a raise to the coach that has finished no better than fifth in the conference the last two seasons. Makes Perfect sense to me.

NO. Two non BCS bowl games doenst translate into 5 million plus. Get into the 4 team playoff next year and then talk.

Again, Les was 2nd in the SEC this past season. Counting buyout money to Wisky and Cinci from Bret and Butch is stupid.

Les will be the 3rd hugest in the SEC next year behind Saban and Sumlin. He and Sumlin have achieved about the same the last two seasons. Seems about right.

No. I think you're continuing a bad precendent by rewarding him for a lackluster season.

he is very fortunate to have the position he has right now and the amount of money he is paid for it.

i'd laugh him out of my office if he came in asking for a raise.

a season that produced a 3rd place finish in the SEC west with a loss to a bunch of 3rd string clowns from OM and a beatdown from bama doesn't warrant a raise imo.
