Does ESPN realize that Nick Saban doesn't coach for LSU?

In the Gameday piece about the SEC defenses they interviewed Tubby and Saban. Was Les Miles unavailable?

they have been in the state of alabama for a few days, probaly easier to get a face to face with Saban than Les, since he just got there yesterday.

My train of thought was that Les actually trusts his players to do the interviews and public appearances. Maybe that's not the case but he certainly could tell Alexander not to and it was nice to see our player talkin about the defense.

I'm a little surprised Saban did an interview, considering his normal love for the media.

well this is a big game for LSU on the national stage so it's nothing new for him to try to wedge his way into our coverage. *cough* Sugar Bowl *cough*

it WAS a piece about the sec defenses. not just lsu and auburn. my thought is that ESPN wanted to rile up the auburn fans by putting in saban, the bama coach. like when you're at gameday at lsu and they'll show an lsu player/coach and then a hated rival. gets the crowd into it goin from cheers to boos back and forth. just my opinion.
