I think the question is better expressed as

"does Greedy Williams deserve to start?"

I admit not knowing anything about this kid, and when the suspensions were announced for the BYU game I was a little worried about lack of experience out there in the secondary. But my God, Greedy is looking like we snuck an all-pro NFL corner out there. He's usually plying tight coverage, and the few times he isn't denying the WR, he's baiting the QB.

This is nothing personal about Jackson or Tolliver, but right now I just think you have to keep Greedy on the field.

Yes. He is all over be field. Surprisingly good in run support. However we are very talented in the secondary. I would like to see him on offense some.

This year.

Stop with this ignorance. Donte is not a liability. He is also a very solid tackler on the outside. Greedy and Vincent haven't really been tested, so you have no clue whether they should be out there more.

If you put them out there more right now, coaches will game plan for them, and they will be exposed some too.

I take it you have the all 22 film because unless you do you have no idea what his technique looks like on every play.

Honestly Jackson started the game kind of rough but then settled in and seemed fine

Question: Does LSU normally match there db coverage assignments randomly or player specific? Seems most the time last year, White was matched up against the other teams best receivers most the time. Could be wrong.

i think when we have a PP or a white theu follow the best wr if not we roll safeties towards the biggest pass threat. I could be wrong I havent gotten any lsu all 22 film in a while.

His coverage skills have not improved. He will get burned against a good team. Replace him. Glad to see greedy still starting. He could give lessons on the skill of coverage

I was there, and that first couple series' I was surprised at the amount they were picking on Donte. They were getting under his skin and it was obvious to us. He started fussing about the receiver pushing off on him, and it really wasn't that bad. He was just getting eat up on that corner. After they scored the field goal, and then marched down the field on the next possession, I think we started doing things a little different and helped donte out with a better rush and help up top so he could press a little better.

It will be interesting to see who gets that role when SEC play begins.

He's a great player, but I don't think CB is his natural position. He's just got lightning speed. He's a better offensive fit tbh.

Man, you're arguing with the same idiots who said "Eric Reid takes bad angles" and "Mathieu is a liability in coverage" and "Can't we replace Jalen Collins".

I argued with them about all of these talents. You just can't cure stupid.

He might be a bigger liability on offense b/c of ball security issues.
