Does anyone really think that Les will get another SEC/P5 job?

No way...expect maybe Vandy or other traditional bottom feeder, but don't even think that will happen. The rest of the country and SEC has been laughing at us with false praise and prayers that we keep the guy for years.

He will retire and live a good life and mix in some tv work if he gets bored.

Georgia, only if CBS analysts stop roasting him

No, but IF we let him go, there's plenty of outside SEC openings he would fill happily

Kansas would take him right this second. Other than that....?

There are probably only three or four SEC schools who would consider him for the position.
I don't see him doing TV either.

I can see him sitting next to Feinbaum or the like on some analysis show. In the booth as a color guy -- no.

If he wants to, I hope he does. It would be interesting to see what he could do with a down P5 school like Miami, Maryland, or Illinois.

I would agree in that type of setting he could be fun to listen to. Would keep the listeners on their toes for sure.

OP, I believe you are 100% correct.
No big time school would want to fool with Les.

I personally think he's sick (something about that coffee story just doesn't make sense) and will retire.
If he wants to continue coaching, he could get a top 50 type job based on recruiting and experience.

I'm not so sure Les can pass the entrance requirements to coach at Vandy.
He's a competitive guy and I don't think he's done. Somebody will hire him and he'll do a great job for them. We haven't seen the last of Coach Miles - I think we take a lot of what he's been able to do here for granted. He has a good system that will work very well somewhere else.

Good point. I agree.

Illinois would be a great job for him. Low expectations, big ten guy, good recruiting oportunities.

He might land a perineal bottom feeder job in a P5 conference, Indiana, Kansas, Purdue, etc. He'll be on no one's short list at a top to mid-tier program.

If Les wanted to coach after LSU he could get a job at a power 5 school.

It would be interesting to see how he would do without the recruiting base of LSU.
And by interesting I mean funny.

How many folks would like to retire at 62 and have not a worry financially. I see him spending his time for the better good. Perhaps he joins Jimmy Carter working with Habitat for Humanity, serves on a number of boards of directors for non-profits, etc. Perhaps he seeks an opportunity at politics. If he stays in academia, most likely he becomes an Athletic Director at some school.
