but perception........and make a lot of us a bit more miserable?

Could it officially make 2016 Les' do-or-die season? Politicians are the wild card, I know, but would a poor showing in the Texas bowl and no actual changes to offensive philosophy be enough to convince people that next year will be more of the same, or do we need to give him an actual offseason to make things happen? Does the bowl game matter in terms of the big picture?

I would love to see something new and exciting, but I would almost be convinced it would be enough to throw people off thinking things were on track, and then we're back to status quo next year.

Bowl game performance means very little.

Because it's a meaningless bowl game.

The only people that will be paying attention to that bowl game will be the most devoted fans of the involved teams.

It's a recruiting tool, if anything.

we would have to no show up (not too far of a stretch) and have a .500 season and the (to the sounds of chorus) Miles will be gone (we hope)

Not according to the postseason complaints here since 2011.

Miles is not leaving until he retires. Just go ahead and become numb and accept our place and lot in the college football landscape.

we use to thrive off big bowl wins.

i miss the 06 sugar bowl over ND type of results.. propels us to a NC the following season..

then the 10 cotton bowl we destroyed a&m.. went on to another NC-like run

Nope, retaining Miles showed everyone that LSU is happy with participation trophies instead of winning championships.

The Steelers James Harrison says participation trophies can go to hell.

Unless there is a major scandal, Les Miles is tattooed to this program.

Someone should get JJ to release the pics

Nothing will change. And you can expect TT to put up some serious numbers on the oh shite defense we have become. Miles will try his same old ball control crap, and Harris will over throw every open receiver he sees.
