He wouldn't know what to do if a prostitute reported that members of one of his teams had raped her. So he would cancel their season and fire their coach.

Resounding no, even if O turns out to be a good hire. His process stinks.

I don't like to be negative but Alleva hasn't done anything to make me think he can be trusted with anything. I wouldn't trust him with my lunch order at this point.

Take the coaching "search" for an example. He's had basically the entire season to put out feelers and do some back door dealing to ensure we get our man. LSU is thought by many to be a destination type job in college football so it seems like several top coaches would be interested. Well the "search" consisted of hoping to maybe get Jimbo or Herman. What the hell?

He finds out Jimbo is asking for too much so he goes to his fall back in Herman only to find out that Herman wanted to go to Texas. We knew Herman was going to Texas. Everyone knew that. Texas was never going to keep Charlie Strong I don't care how they try to spin it. Herman to Texas was about as clear cut as it gets yet Alleva couldn't see it.

So his handshake agreement falls through and the "search" continues to it's inevitable conclusion...Coach O. Nothing against Coach O but we're talking about the Head Coach at LSU here. It seems like several candidates would've been interviewed before settling on Coach O. Instead Coach O comes in with a binder and seals the deal. Amazing really. Just amazing.

It's like wanting a Super Nintendo or Sega Genesis for Christmas but getting some used Atari cartridges instead.
