The extremely slow pace of a Les Miles offense makes it hard to score 40+ on anybody.

This team would score 40 in the first half and 0 in the second.

We give up 16 points in a game.
The question should be can this offense score 17 points in a game.

This thread is so stupid. We scored over 40 points 4 different times last season. Of course it can happen this year.

Not against good SEC defenses.

Average SEC defense we could do 24 to 40.

Good SEC we are looking at 14 to 30.

Of course with defensive scoring or special teams we could go higher. We really need to just keep moving the chains and score when able. If we do that then it will come down to red zone scoring (fg vs. td) if ratio is good we could beat anyone.

What does it matter if LSU wins the game?

If we were in the Big12, we'd average over 40 pts/game.

And lose like TT did against LSU. Is that your dream? Light up the scoreboard and lose?

Les won't allow his offense to score 40 points because he wants to keep the game close not only to make his opponent look better and not far fall in the polls, but that spread thing in Nevada - possible side gig?
