Do you think LSU's next football coach is on the staff righ now?

I think that's how we're going to keep coach Cam on staff, he'll be the coach in waiting. Teams like LSU, Bama, and FSU is probably the next closest thing you can get to an NFL team, without the headache of players making more money than you so they believe they don't have to listen to you they can run to the owner. In big college programs the coach has all the control. I just think LSU has enough to intrigue coach Cam to stick around, and coach Miles is not going to coach for about 5 more years probably. What do you all think?

Who cares. Les will be here another 10 years if he wants and it's fricking baseball season.

I think cam would do fine.
He organized at least.

By the time LSU is looking for a new head coach the players might be making more money

The whole Coach in Waiting deal seams to not be such a great scenario most of the time. Either the guy gets tired of hanging around and moves on, a la Jimbo, or he doesn't work out, a la Solich.

we're not doing coach-in-waiting shite lmao
Cam would be the hire for sure if he's around when Miles retires, but I don't see Miles retiring in five years

Les will be HC another 5+ years and Cam will be gone before then.
The ONLY scenario I see is if Les goes to the NFL (not going to happen) and Cam takes over. But that, again, is not going to happen.

Les Miles is not going to retire.

Why are people always in a rush to get a new coach? Our current coach is doing a great job.
Just enjoy the present.

No. The next head coach is not on the current staff. Coach Miles will stay as long as he wants, he has earned that right.

I love coach Miles! I don't want to see him go, just wondering cause he is a family man,he's getting older, and if that might have been discussed between him and Cam to get him to stay around, because LSU is a great coaching job!

I don't know, but think about how much grass there is to eat, if Les was "put out to pasture."

Maybe. Frank could get the nod, but it's likely he'd have to move on from here and cut his teeth elsewhere first. If he did that successfully I could see him returning to take the HC job.
But that assumes Les is here 5+ more years.

huh?
You are using Jimbo Fisher as an example of a coach in waiting not working out?
