Do you see the new OC bringing in new assistants or keeping current ones?

Billy G seems to have done a good job. I'd say keep him.
Studrawa...can go I guess...but the o line has played much better lately. Don't really know how much is his fault or his boss's fault for allowing T-bob to keep playing center on his back with treadmarks on his front in 09.

I don't think it's the OC's job to hire and fire. Being the new guy on the block, I doubt he'll have much input in staff. After a year, maybe, but it's still LM's call.

The only coach I see going is Stud.

I don't see any assistants leaving/getting fired.

Personally, I'd like to see Billy G. and Stud get kicked to the curb. Neither one impresses me. Frank Wilson is golden, he definitely stays.

Why? Miles loves him some coach Stud.

What part of the passing game were you impressed with? His recruiting is top notch. His coaching has yet to show any results IMO.

Terrance Toliver disagrees. He went from being really raw to actually beginning to look like a legit receiver when our QBs could get him the ball.

He came up clutch against UT, UF, and then mst recently against Tex A&M. Without him all those games are very different.

Basically, I didn't see anything to make me think he should go. I see the bulk of the blame for our poor passing game falling on poor QB developement that was here before him.

As stated TT has improved and dare I say it...JJ did learn to step up in the pocket after billy g got here. Before Billy G, JJ would drop back 10 yards and get sacked by the defensive ends that were getting blocked back there. This is part of why Ciron Black looked worse his last year.

I'm holding off on BG till I see our receivers have a good passing QB to get them the ball. There were drops early, but that seemed to improve over the course of the season, and many were by Shep who just seemed to be struggling with the position switch.

I just read Krags bio and do feel better about him as an OC. His experience as a HC I think will help him in deciding his recommendations on position coaching changes. This year could be special and I hope the change of pace at OC will contribute to another NC...

We'll get a better read on Gonzales this year now that Crowton is gone, he made everyone look bad

In some cases a particular coordinator is given that option, especially if he's needed and plays hard-to-get. This isn't the case at LSU though. Even Stud appears safe with the way the line blocked in the Cotton(finally had everyone healthy).

I think the poor play of individual players made those postition coaches look bad. Having Blackwell back was huge with blocking and Stud looked much better. Having JJ step up into the pocket kept sacks from happening that were our achilles heal in 09 (something like 30+). I hope we are able to keep our current staff and just maximize the talent we have.

Krage may have some inside info on a previous position coach that he has worked with that may be better/higher profile than one of the current staff. Les is pretty loyal though. It would take a lot to fire a current position coach due to recruiting ties etc...
