Im not sure if it will happen but i feel like we should use Brandon in some sort of way. The kid is exceptional at the zone read option and he is good at running. I think if we could use him on these types of play calls would be a good thing and every now and them let him throw a deep ball cause it will be unexpected. I would much rather Etling be our starter and passing qb which he is also good at getting out of the pocket and running to (Kinda has to cause our O line getting blown up). But if you think about it maybe coach will use all his talents where they should be used. Brandon cant complete short consistent passes but the zone read we saw in the first seven games last year worked really well with people keying up on Fournette.

Not in the short term. I don't think Harris deserves to be on the field based on his conduct early in his replacing. He seemed to be turning it around this past week, but I would not give him the privilege of playing time until he has proven himself to be a team player.

I think Ensminger is in charge of the offense. I'd like to see a package for Harris myself. Keep him engaged, because we will likely need him at some point.

Such a fresh topic. Who wants to debate today?

You mean put him in in certain situations where the opposing team knows what he's gonna run? No thanks.

Every position should be open now

Etling hasn't exactly done enough to be "THE" guy either

He has done enough to be the starter, but let's not act like he has done enough to not be replaced

I stand by the fact that it was an asinine comparison, but today is a new day.

FWIW, I kinda hate the package idea. There is no better way to become predictable than installing a package of plays for a certain player. Whoever earns the start deserves to play until he is no longer effective, in which case you make a change.

Absolutely agree with you here.

Got too much stuff going on at work to have the argument from yesterday though

Every position should be open ? What does this even state? RB, WR, DBs, QB? Sounds a little deep to me. This is not a new coach who is not familiar with the talent he has. This is a coach who knows each player personal and knows which players get the job done and which do not. Your statement kind of saddens me!

At this point I think everthing is on the table. Empty the cupboard and throw it out there.

And waste time filling positions with the same guys over again? Are you telling me there are guys on the roster right now that should be playing over the current starters? If so, without burning redshirts i'd like to know a few!

the kid is less than mediocre at zone read option and has little college experience doing it and there is no coach on the roster who excels at coaching zone read.

Let's stick to LF running, Etling using play action and go from there.
