LSU should copy 8-4 teams

Think big picture for once you nutsack.

These 8-4 teams are achieving these records with far less talent than we have, due to these creative offenses.

Now, just think if we had a little creativity on our offense combined with our current defense....

Know what? Forget it. This is a waste of time.

I guess just wanting a couple of creative plays is a crime instead of running it up the middle on 3 rd and 8 at the end of the biggest game of the year, and then losing.

That's not real football though. We're LSU and we don't need that gimmick crap. Besides, none of it would work in the SEC anyway.

So tell us, exactly what plays would you like added to the playbook and what personnel would you use for the plays? The coaches may be reading TD this morning and you have the opportunity to help out the team.

Gray tiger is an idiot. He thinks our offense could drop 50 on 49ers.

NUff said.

Let's see where the runn'n'coot 'em up offenses get you.

Oregon sure did a great job against SEC defenses, didn't they?

West Virginia, another dizzy offense got throttled by an SEC defense.

I seriously wonder how much real football some of you watch. Here's a hint.............. real football ain't Madden. It really isn't.

Popcorn, really?

Well for starters, less JC Copeland getting the ball, and on the field. More 3 wide 1 back instead of 2 tights 2 backs. Simple things really. Loosen up things a little bit to help out the running game.

But then again, I don't know shite apparently and only get this stuff from fricking John Madden football on PS3.

Just answer my question, what plays would you install and what players/personnel would you have on the field for these plays. As much as you know, or want us to believe you know this should not be a problem for a fan/want-to-be coach to explain. Come on man, the Tiger coaches needs guys like you. Time to go to work for Tiger Nation! While you're at it do you have any defensive plays for Chavis? If you have anything for the defense let me know and I will get in touch with Tahj and have him give them to The Chief.

An offense like Oregon's (one of the premier practictioners of the offense you covet) will get hammered by SEC defenses. There is even have visual evidence to prove that.
How MNC's has Baylor won? West Virginia? Oregon?

Please let go of your play station dreams and let go of the "we gotta run the spread" bullshite. Please

At the college level you need execution of basic plays more than something imaginative that gets fricked up half the time.

This! The rest of you who are calling for more imagination should read this and learn.

I'm willing to listen to your idea but so far you haven't provided any information to justify you have any idea of what you are talking about. I'm just glad we have a message board so guys like you can educate the rest of the fan base. I'm really looking forward to reading your insight, I just hope the Clemson coaches aren't on TD today.

Have you noticed the ESPN Toteboard showing the conference's bowl records so far? Not one SEC team has played in these early bowls which are sucky bowls for sucky teams.

Let's adopt sucky team offensive plays. They be creative.

I don't think it would. They scored 20 something versus an amazing LSU D, who had an offseason to prepare. They scored 19 against Auburn who had 40 something days to prepare in a national championship game. They scored a ton, and beat the dog shite out of Tennessee in the middle of the season two years ago.

They are a good team. I think Texas A&M is a pretty good comparison to what Oregon looks like even though Sumlin has a little more air raid aspect to it.

And when Baylor, West Virginia, and Oregon have top to bottom talent like we do, let me know.

I'm also not saying we should run any variation of spread offense.

BS you need someone who can tell what play to call when in certain situations and what personnel are fit to execute it. That is part of having imagination. I'm not talking about dreaming up new shite every week.

We don't need the spread offense. Just an offense that can execute. We have had a few games where we did, but Arkansas game proved we are just inconsistent with what we even have.

I really don't remember Arkansas all that well, but I thought our defense was atrocious that game, not our offense. ?

Bob I agree with you completely.

As for the guys harping on execution - answer me this? Why can many other programs execute a more complex offense, yet LSU can't. Do we have inherently less intelligent players? Probably not - I bet we have worse coaching and/or worse personnel/package decision-making.

Therefore, you can't haver your cake and eat it to. You can't say we have the right playbook based on our personel BECAUSE we can't execute something more complex. It's on the coaches to hep the players execute complex sets. Make sense?
