Which combination give us the best pass rush?

Montgomery, Downs, Edwards, Mingo?

D-line has dropped off a bit from last year IMO.

You is crazay. LSU probably has the number one rush d in the land. I'll admit there was about 3 plays where the D didn't get pressure on Price. ahhh perfection is a bitch.

Its all about if we can get pressure up the middle, so we need Freak, Logan, or whoever to push the pocket better.

It has a tad. Maybe it will pick up. I don't know why, brockers was a force but everybody returned (ken Adams too). I think the offseason conditioning was a bit different since we didn't have to play Oregon. Sam added some weight, while mingo lost some. I remember watching WVA last year, and we got ZERO pressure with our front four. I mean none at all. Our front four is actually doing pretty well and maybe getting a little more PUSH. What you don't see is alot of blitzing like we did with mathieu and brooks.

All in all it's probably a wash. I am sure I contridicted myself

Pressure hasn't really dropped off. It's just North Texas and Washington aren't taking 7 step drops. It's been quick stuff so the d line can't get back there.

Once we get into the SEC we'll start blowing some QBs up.

There's been no dropoff. People are forgetting that they've been talking up our front four and especially our 2 first round DEs all damn offseason. We have a ton of inexperience in the LB core and a rookie starting at 1 corner spot. They are 3 step dropping and just short passing us to death. Sam was double teamed all day and still had Price constantly running to his right. And holy holding Batman, it was a whole hell of a lot of that going on Saturday.

Sam, edwards, mingo, freak, logan, ferguson, downs, they all seem to be doing pretty good at getting pressure and stopping the run.

Washington dropped back to throw some and got sacked four times and about a dozen other times Price had to run for his left.

North Texas wanted no part of it. They kept their TE and RB in and just tried to get out of there with a QB who could be healthy enough so they can win a few Sun Belt games.
