Currently this channel (26) is removed due to negotiations. Any ideas for the LSU game? Not a fan of streaming.

Could be your only option. Watch ESPN app is not bad at all.

Geaux to a bar or friend's home. Record the replay on SEC Network or ESPN.

You can take a regular coax cable
Screw one end to the back of your TV where it is made to go..
Then take the other end and sort of affix it onto a screw on a light switch, or somehow have it touching some sort of metal.
It isn't meant to screw on or anything, but if you place it just right.. it will hold right onto the screw.
Now, go to your TV settings and possible change inputs and select Antenna (OTA) setup or whatever from your menu settings.. and then do a channel search..
It will search for a few minutes.. after it's done you should have OTA HD quality channels to chose from.. just use your remote to browse through the channels.
This system acts as an antenna and works.. for free. at least it works for me in Lafayette. It's worth trying at least.
here is a video on it
keep in mind, it won't work if you don't select a certain setting with the antenna settings on your tv's menu. but i did it and was successful with a Vizio LED tv..
tomorrow i will try it again so i can make sure of one important step that might be needed for it to work.
i thought it was a joke when i first saw the video.. but i can confirm it works. it acts just like an antenna.. and i don't have anything else special added on my house or anything..
it's worth a try.

Maybe look for it on another channel you don't have, call and upgrade and after the weekend cancel it. I'm sure it's on one of those dumb Sattelite channels like 26498 or some cray cray numb

You can always try my method first to see if you can get OTA that way. It works for me in Lafayette. I get FOX, NBC, ABC, all the free HD OTA just with a coax cable connected to some sort of metal that is secure.
If not you could always get an antenna and try that.. or you could always just stream it online.
Good luck to yall

Just get rabbit ears. $10 and you plug that in, have the TV search for channels. You'll get ABC in full HD.

Get a regular HD antenna. Make sure the antenna picks up both VHF and UHF signals.
Yeah streaming is so awesome that unless you have some spectacular Internet the game will be breaking up. And don't read this board during a game. You will be be behind the live TV feed.
frick cutting the cord. I tried that shite. Technology needs to improve some before I would try it again.

I have ABC on Dish in Atlanta.
This seems to be a local channel issue between Dish and the local tv station.
We went thru the same thing last year here in Atlanta.
If the local tv station wants to stay in business they need to resolve this before Saturday!

Do you have a friend who lives in a different ABC market? Like baton rouge? Call dish and tell them you moved to a new address but you don't need them to move your equipment... You already did it yourself. Then you will be given BR local channels instead of New Orleans. You may even be able to change this yourself on your online account.
I did this when I lived in gulfport a few years back and they would not carry some of the locals. I used my parents address and it actually worked out better for me because I got Nola channels instead of shitty Gulfport stations.

Just use an antenna. You'll get it in HD. Unless you live in the sticks.

The dispute is between Dish and Tribune owned TV stations and WGNO is one of them. Depending on what Dish Receiver you have, you can plug an HDTV antenna in the back of your receiver and receive your local channels. It's a little know perk of some of their receivers and I highly recommend it. It merges the channels from the antenna with the channels on the satellite on the channel guide and it even gives you another source to record on your DVR. Another perk is getting the alternate channels from your locals, like 26-2, 26-3, etc.

Don't you have a "Guide" on your tv? Or google? It is on ABC. Whatever channel that is on your Cox lineup.

I have dish and ABC is working fine for me. You're saying they are going to specifically blackout the LSU game?
