I am guessing this game will be on the SEC alternate channel. Has anyone other than me had problems with the alternate channel while using Direct TV?

It seems like it only worked during football season for me.

I don't have DirecTV (had no problems with Uverse), but I do remember people who did posting issues with the alternate channel last baseball season when a game got moved there. I think the alternate channel tends to be more reliable when a game is scheduled in advance (such as the McNeese game), as opposed to being moved there due to rain delays. If there's a problem, you can use WatchESPN as a backup.

Yes other than football season, the alternative channel on SECN sucked on DTV...and even then it had some initial problems.

There was an event last year that I could get in the garage on a standard box and standard definition TV. I couldn't get it in the living room in HD. Other than that it worked fine.

If problems arise use the Watch ESPN app and Googlecast it to the bigscreen - works great!

Sorry you guys don't know how to turn it to the right channel

Worked fine for me all year. No issues

Any programming issues were from espns side. It was the first year of sec network and they had some kinks.

The directv alternate worked fine

"don't know how to turn it to the right channel" ? What do you think, people are that stupid? 611-1 is the SEC alternate channel. You must be the only "genius" in the bunch.
