If lsu had won that game, bowden may had been the next coach at lsu

That win was huge to the fsu program

LSU played two #1 teams that year

Losing by a combined 20-12

But were punch drunk after USC. Win one lose one win one lose one

I didn't know LSU played for the national title in '79 either. I thought Alabama went 12-0 and won the national championship after beating Arkansas in the Sugar bowl. When did LSU play for the title that year?

Goddamn, someone's a little defensive. No one's taking away your precious 297236243 National Titles.

The image of Bowden getting carried off the field while shaking LSU coaches and players hands made me laugh.
