And... what did you think of Jimbo during their championship run with Jameis? Be honest.

I'd much rather have a guy like DJ Fluker or Jimmy Johns.

I hated his playcalling. So did everyone else. Blows my mind that he's now the "savior". Jimbo isn't the huge upgrade people make him out to be....

Who says you need a huge upgrade? Any upgrade would be fine. It would, by definition, be an improvement.

I was able to watch one of FSU's practices a while back. You would not believe the detail this man puts into coaching the the QB and offense in general... Everything from breaking the huddle to the cadence in gone over and over in a very meticulous/calm approach until perfection is achieved.

I liked him. At the time it was too soon to know what kind of HC he would be, but he's done quite well at FSU considering FSU was down for a while, and Jimbo was able to turn it around when Bowden was finally gone and Jimbo was the man.

One thing I know for sure. he can pick and develop quarterbacks and I think he is smart enough to leave the defense to the DC...which I hope is Not Steele.

So, offense will be better...compared to most of Les Miles' offenses, it will be a lot better. He can recruit very well, and has proved he can run a successful program.

Thing is, FSU is a damn good job for football. Are these $15 million dollar buyout guys also ready to offer an insane amount of money to lure him away from a good gig at FSU?

I would be comfortable with Jimbo as long as they also open the vault to get a proven DC to run that side of things.

I didn't and thought that most of the fan base was filled with total ignorance about football. Jimbo put tons of QBs in the NFL and consistently had offenses in the top 20, while keeping a nice TOP.

And they'll bitch about him again just like it would with Chip Kelly, Tom Herman, Urban Meyer, Nick Saban, Bill Belichick, Jesus, etc.

I wasn't around then. What were the complaints? I've heard from many former players and assistants that he went over Les' head multiple times on play calls. Seems like the rant would love that guy

That was our most complete and talented team in the Les era. True or false?

I liked Jimbo but I am still saying Les isn't fired this year and even if he is Jimbo won't be his replacement so it doesn't matter.

Kind of playing fast and loose with the word "interesting."

3-7 @ AU in 2006 pissed a lot of fans off.

But I think in hindsight a lot of fans didn't realize the control Miles had on offense. It's been fully realized once Miles didn't have a Jimbo tutored QB. 2008-2015 QB has been a disaster with the only exception being Mett in 2013.

Jimbo has since mentored 2 1st round drafted NFL QBs at FSU.

The rumor I heard on the radio is that if Jimbo is hired here, there is a chance Muschamp comes back as his DC.

Jimbo has actually mentored 3 1st round round QBs at FSU: Ponder, Manuel, and Winston.
