Did they even point out any other coaches bowl record over the last 4 seasons?

Think about it. If you had to put a percentage on it, how much of the LSU fan base truly likes Les Miles & want him as the coach of LSU? I would like to see that number & would be shocked if it was over 50%. FTR; I like Les Miles & happy he's LSU's coach. IMO, a lot of LSU fans would take any of those 6 coaches ranked ahead of Miles.

Miles deserves the media backlash he gets. He shits the bed on the reg on big stages and seriously looked like he was standing naked by a cold pool on 01/09/2012.

Take out 1/9/12 and I bet his record vs top 25 opponents is best in nation next to Saban.
Miles is notorious among Cowherd and ESPN talking heads for always having his team ready for the big game, constantly spouting off LSU for being a top 3 school to pick in a big game.

Also of note, he holds a perfect regular season against the hardest schedule in the MODERN ERA of football........
Our fans are the reason for Miles's perception, they can't even remember vital respectability, just the last game.

I wish it was that easy.

It is..........1/9/12 was a terrible loss but see post above...........you forgot about all the wins to get to that game.

I mean seriously...I am no Miles sunshine pumper but this list is beyond ridiculous...Miles is no worse than 4th and has a great argument for 2nd...obvious writer has a hard on against Miles or LSU...

This is a joke. Les is no worse that top 3-4 at present. I would however like to see what James Franklin could do with some bullets in his gun.

No, bama actually would have to play more ranked teams in a season. They sure as hell dont play mire than LSU in any guven season.
Les and Saban have the same sec record over 2 seasons with LSU playing a tougher schedule both years.

Seriously, I love to read shite like this.........behind Dan Mullen(who has never beaten Miles), Mark Richt, Steve Spurrier(still hasn't beaten Miles), Saban, Kevin Sumlin, and James Franklin.
so you scoff at the notion that mark richt would be ranked ahead of miles? he does have a 2-2 record vs miles doesn't he? i think most rational lsu fans would say that miles had the talent advantage over richt in 3 of those 4 matchups with the only exception being in 08 right? he also came just as close to beating alabama in 2012 as miles did did he not?.
i'm not saying richt is better than miles, but why do you all think miles is so much better than richt? i'm also not saying i agree with him being ranked 7th behind the people they have ranked ahead of him either. i'm just saying i don't know and none of you do either. we'll probably never really know because LSU will have an advantage in talent in 10 or 11 games every year.
What would miles' record be if he were at mississippi st or vanderbilt, neither of which have top 25 talent? how about south carolina who has 2-3 superstars and not much else usually? my thoughts are he would be right where he is on this list. somewhere in the middle of the sec.
flame away..

Internet message board posters? Maybe 50%, maybe not. You gotta remember the rule of thumb in internet message board communications: the stupider the opinion, the more often it gets posted.
Basically, it boils down to this: the LSU people who don't like Miles are simply the type of people who want to bitch and complain; and those types of people also happen to be more likely to be the type of people who will post their bitching 1,000 times a day if necessary to "convince" the internet that they are right.
Volume doesn't equal representation. The vast majority of LSU fans make up less than 1% of the posts on the Rant.

College coaches are almost always 100% responsible for the talent level they coach. If your coach has vastly superior talent to the teams he's facing, 9 times out of 10 it's because you have a vastly better coach.
If Richt was a better coach than Miles, then 12 years after he took over at Georgia he would have better talent than Miles does.

Wow!!! That is truly idiotic.

Besides Mullen I agree with the list
