Did we make a mistake by not elevating Jimbo to HC?

This is not meant to knock Les Miles or flame. I'm just curious as to what others think. He's done a good job at Florida State. When Jimbo left, I didn't care one way or the other. I'm not suggesting a replacement, just want to know what others think.

Jimbo wasn't ready to be a HC at the time.

I agree, I don't think he was ready at the time either. His offense at LSU seemed pretty "vanilla". It looks different now.

His offense his entire tenure was vanilla? Or just the last two years?

I have a hunch which one you intended.

If I were AD he'd be the first call I'd make when Les retires

We would've fired Jimbo by 2010.

This was an attractive job (talent, fan support, resources and facilities, talent filled state to recruit), lost a great coach and needed to make a big splash hire with a proven coach. I think les has done pretty good for us in his time here. Give jimbo another 10 years before we can compare if we made a mistake or not.

I agree with this. You really think we need to wait another 10 years?

Look Saban didn't even offer the guy a coordinator position with the dolphins, just a position coach job

Shocker. Those 02 and 04 offenses were real firework shows before Miles barged in and pissed on the matches
