Did anyone on this board actually think Cody Glenn wouldn't surrender the lead? This loss completely on PM - he owns it.

Even though this thread sucks. I think cody has seen his last ( i hope) pitch in a tiger uniform. Or at least on that matters

Cody probably thought that prior to today - no way he could have been mentally ready, and PM should have know that.

I don't know what happened to that kid. He was a halfway-decent pitcher last year.

When I posted Glenn wouldbt challenge for a starting position on the weekend people bashed me. Lol. Now nobody wants to see him pitch. Awesome.

This "flame" is totally on you...you own it. It is baseball. Things happen. The sky isn't falling.

No but I really didn't have much faith in anyone else in the bullpen to hold it either.

If you can't manufacture a run with a runner on 3rd with one out, you will not win the CWS.
Also, calling a low percentage play in the 9th to steal 2nd after your lead off hitter gets on, only down 1 run, is poor play calling. I also disagreed with Mainieri pulling Bouman so soon with a depleted bench and the very real prospect of extra innings.
UCLA schooled Mainieri last year, and I don't think the lesson took.

This Cody Glenn project needs to have it's permit revoked.

That wasn't a strait steal. It was a hit and run in which the batter missed a fastball that should definitely been put in play.

We lose one SEC series on the road by 2 1-run games after winning several series in a row and after reading fans reactions you'd think we are mired in a losing streak at the bottom of the league.

Ah, I wasn't quite sure as I was listening to the game on the radio driving back from Gulf Shores, and I was depending on the call from Hawthorne. I didn't hear the ball hit the bat, so I didn't realize it was a hit and run.
It was at that moment that I put in a CD, so I didn't hear the explanation from Franquez.
