Considering I am not a LSU fan, I don't know too much about the situation. However, I really really enjoy watching Fournette play as he's an exceptional, unparalleled player.

I remember, from ESPN'S College Football Live, that prior to the season starting Fournette suffered an ankle sprain. I could be mistaken, but I believe it was a high ankle sprain which is more serious and lengthy in terms of recovery.

Fournette played against Wisconsin, just a couple of carries against Jacksonville State, Mississippi State, and Auburn.

The Auburn game really showed that he wasn't healthy. Yet, he still freakishly put up 100 yards on a very underrated Auburn defense.

That all said, he's been out the past two weeks and I'm hearing he may not (hopefully he won't if not healthy) play against Southern Miss. I understand that LSU has a deep backfield and will have no problem producing against Southern Miss, but you have to start and wonder....what was Miles thinking?

You can't just shoot a player like him up with a Cortisone shot. He's got a bright, bright future ahead of him in the NFL. He probably shouldn't have played at all in the Wisconsin game and Jacksonville State.

College football fans are being denied of an elite player due to, in my opinion, some poor decisions in playing the kid early. So, did Miles run Fournette when he shouldn't have?

Here's to a full and healthy recovery for the bulk of LSU's remaining season. Looking forward to seeing more of this rare talent.

He is out right now because of a different injury. Not the same pre season injury.

Gotya. I didn't know. I thought he aggravated the initial injury.

He did more damage to him by running him 80% of the time against 9 man fronts out of the I formation.

I will say yes. We are very deep at rb and we should have rotated in fresher backs instead of pounding teams with a tired LF.

yes he did. First of all he got hurt in one of Miles' 4hour full contact practices 9 days before the first game.

Then Miles knew his job was on the line and not being able to coach a modern offense let LF decide if he wanted to play against Wisconsin and gave hime 30 carries while Guice and Williams barely played.

Then he re aggravates it against Wisky, sits out the next game and then Miles gives him over 20 carries against Miss St with guice and williams barely playing.
He goes into Auburn hurt, Guice gets more carries though. He sprains his other ankle but yet he's still in the game at the end trying to pass block on Carl Lawson

You must be looking at box scores as it was his brother that had those carries against J-ville State

Sounds like he ran the whole team in to the ground at practice.

I think LF7 hurt a different ankle and this is not the same injury from pre-season.

No injuries happened but he could have managed his carries a bit better. Guice deserved to get on the field more.

This is not a Marcus Lattimore situation, far, far from it.

Yes, it was reported that he injured his other leg against Auburn.

He sprained an ankle in summer PRACTICE

No, we haven't run him into the ground. Ankle injuries linger, and LF7 wants to play as much as possible. Only thing that is going to help him is time.

He always seemed to get stronger as the game went on. I think the defenses, especially UF, were more tired of tackling him.

If we ran him into the ground, what the hell does Bama do to their backs
