Did LSU deserve a better seed than 7?

I know it doesn't really matter just as long as you get a top 8 seed. What bothers me is if we some how don't win the SEC, we prolly don't get a top 8 seed. We won the best baseball conference and beat teams like Florida and USCe on the road and all we get is a damn 7 seed.

I really hate how the NCAA likes to pump up teams on the West Coast like Oregon. That just chaps my arse.

If you include the SEC-T, Kentucky is tied with LSU for having the best conference winning percentage in the SEC (20-13), and they didn't get jack shite!

No. And if we win our regional we get Miami at the box. Content with what we have.

According to Collegiate Baseball, LSU is the #1 team in the country right now.

I can't complain with being paired with the shitty Canes for a super regional, but I do think that the NCAA committee deliberately penalized SEC teams this year ... again.

I expected as high as 4 or 5 and a low of 6. I think if LSU wins an extra game in the SEC Tourney you'd see them 5th. Oh well, I'll take the Miami Super pairing over anything else.

The road to Omaha goes through Baton Rouge and we ended up with a pretty damn good draw. Can't really ask for much more than that

I like what we have too but I think we should've been higher than a damn 7 seed.

Getting Oregon State as a 2-seed is certainly worse than normal for a national seed, but being paired with Miami makes up for that.

They should have given UCLA the 7-seed and LSU the 2-seed, and then we'd still be set to meet each other in Omaha.

Yea I agree . No way a 7. A 3 or 4 is what we earned. The selection people really are idiots

Why should the committee give the SEC any extra consideration? It's not like any SEC teams have won the CWS championship recently.

Oh, wait.....

Meh. Not really. If we scheduled better in the nonconference, we'd be a top 3 seed. Until we do that, I don't expect us to be ranked that highly.

You sound like a ULL fan. The number doesn't matter, just as long as we got one. I wouldn't trade our draw with any of the other national seeds.

The NCAA isn't really trying to hide the fact they are trying to grow the game in the north. See Purdue, Michigan State, even Oregon to a certain extent. It's going to be at the expense of the SEC.

Sucks but we better get used to it.

I personally believe that it chapped the committee's collective arse to give the SEC 3 of the top 8 seeds, but they saw no way around it.

So they decided to screw (take your pick) Miss. State/UK over on the whole host site thing, in what passes for their sense of "justice".

The ACC getting 5 host sites is a joke.

The committee has shown that they're going to punish sec teams with shitty nonconference schedules. We can either live with maybe being ranked a little lower or schedule better opponents and get rewarded for it like Florida did this year.
