Did Les pull one over on us?

Before the spring game CM is quoted saying:
“emphasize” the passing attack adding “If you do the same thing you’ve always done, it will be the same thing you’ve always been. We’re going to change spring. It’s going to be different.”

Then at recent press conference says:
“It’s exactly the same offense we’ve been running for as long as I can remember..."

Can't have it both ways, which is it?
As long as they are scoring, I guess it doesn't matter, but would like to know whether his intent is to change the offense or to keep it the same.

This goes for anyone, including HRC and Miles: if there are no consequences, or you don't think there will be any such as being fired, you can do all kinds of things and feel confident.
Or in the case of Miles don't do anything and say he will.

Simply to throw Brandon Harris further under that bus. Etling came in throwing the ball. When is the last time you seen Harris do that? I don't think Harris is confident enough to lead the team at this point but Les can't tell me that the offensive philosophy or play calling was the same.
